This is the *perfect* ramp meal. To my mind, absolutely perfect. Nothing too fancy, nothing to get in the way or overpower any of the individual flavors, but each part, each ingredient, each step just all adds together to make this one of the most delicious meals you will ever have. And a complete one at that, since you serve the ramps along with the chicken and potatoes, so your veg is taken care of.
I cracked open a new can of coffee (the only one in a ‘can’ that I like….the one from New Orleans)…and it smelled like pot. Pot! And it smelled like pot as it was brewing…..and even once I fixed my cup (I’m a cream and a bit of sweet ‘n low kinda girl), each time I bring it up to my lips to take a sip, my mind buzzes “Smells Like Pot!”…….I can’t figure out what’s causing it…and it’s ruined my morning cup of joe…so strange!
I’m not sure if the picture does it justice—but those are some GREEN biscuits. As in: not just “Happy St. Patrick’s Day-Green”, but I’m dressed up in sparkly green glasses and wearing a metallic shamrock t-shirt to the New York City’s right-down-the-center-of-Fifth-Avenue St. Patrick’s Day parade -green. Yes, that green!
