A lot has been said about the new chef/menu at Eleven Madison Park—and I can tell you—it is truly amazing! It was easily one of the best meals of my life. From the food, to the service, to the chef stopping by our table, to the delightful take-home treat (pictured above)–it was all spectacular!
Every once in a while you come across something and wonder: 1) Why haven’t I heard about this before? Or more maddeningly: 2) Since I wasn’t lucky enough to hear about it, why wasn’t I smart enough to have figured this out on my own?!
This is *exactly* how I felt when doing a bit of catching up at Cathy’s blog: My Little Kitchen. I love following her “Mondays with Maida”–and reading the panel’s take on that week’s cookie. The moment of true “hit-yourself-on-the-forehead” discovery came reading Monday, August 28th’s post on Pinwheel Cookies.

I must admit, though I do like The Who, I’m excited about TSOF tickets in general, so I wasn’t really worried about whether they’d be any good or not. And considering two of the original four band members have died, leaving us with Roger Daltry and Pete Townsend (who’s had his share of troubles), really how much could one expect? I thought, they’re old and half dead (literally)–at best this will be a nostalgia show. But boy was I wrong! They ROCKED!
Oh my gosh! My first time participating in Sugar High Friday! Woo-hoo! Having read dozens of other food blogger’s posts about their participation in this way-fun event, as a new food blogger, I couldn’t wait to be involved myself. And how fabulous is the theme that A Veggie Venture came up with for this go-round?!
“Surprise Inside” !!!!! So cool, right?! I love it!
As soon as I read that, I knew exactly what I was going to make:
